About to hit the gym now for an EPIC leg session. First time doing legs in two weeks (can't train them last two weeks before comp because they need time to recover so muscle definition when tensing is greater). Gonna hurt like a b!tch. Then more chocolate haha tomorrow I'll eat clean again.

I hate the holidays. It just reminds me how much I'll need to get back to the gym harder.

I haven't been this motivated in a long time...eating right and lifting hard. Can't wait to get back to my old size, and then even bigger on this bulk.

I hate when people use names of the exercise, but how am I supposed to know what it actually is

its just a one-legged squat.
It really helps to target the glutes... and I feel it way more than a regular squat.

my balance is awful
I hold the foot that is extended to help me balance as I go down & use a #10 plate to place my heels on for extra ankle mobility. It helps a lot.

For the belly fat and love handles, contrary to what others have said, cardio isnt the only thing that burns body fat. Stomach fat is generally the most difficult to move for most people and the last place for fat to budge. Long, steady state cardio has been shown in some studies to release this chemical in the body (can't remember the name sorry) that encourages belly fat. And not to mention, a good weights session can burn just as many calories as cardio, and give you the benefits of increased muscle mass.
Weights >>>>>>>>>>> Cardio
Bascially to lose the belly fat and love handles you'll just have to keep dropping body fat so more calories burned then consumed. Easy as that. I would throw in some ab exercises though, namely obliques. Weights twists, side planks, bicycle, basically google oblique ab exercises. That'll target that area too and help build the muscle up and tone it. You can't spot reduce fat so you'll just have to keep cutting until the fat there decides it is next to go but you can start to tone it now. Best of luck!!!

Hey! Thanks for the great reply, as well as others.
Right now I am doing weights, I don't really do cardio like running or biking, because I sweat like crazy, I literally have to change like 2 shirts just from cardio... I've been going to the gym for a month now, and I've yet to add cardio to my routines. I do crunches/obliques though with 10kg weight in my hands etc, doing static exercises as well... I never knew cardio is that effective Is it?
What kind of cardio would you suggest and for how long, oh and one question I've been dying to ask: should I do cardio before or after my weight workout?

No worries, happy to help
Cardio is good but it isn't essential. To be honest, fat loss is 90% diet. You don't even have to incorporate cardio if you don't want to but it will help and also give the added bonus of improved fitness and is proven to lower stress levels. Hight intensity interval training (HIIT) is a great way to shred unwanted fat. You wouldn't even need to do it for long which would be good for you since you sweat a lot so this way you wont be covered in sweat for too long (I sweat a lot too but I love that haha makes me feel like I have worked really hard). For HIIT maybe just do 10-15 minutes on a stationary bike once or twice a week. Or even just 5 mins after each weights session (that's what I did to cut for my comp). So do 40 seconds slow, barely doing anything, then up the intensity on the machine and go as fast as you can for the remaining 20 seconds.
Hope that helps

I qualified for World Titles in Canada in November but not going for money reasons and I want to wait a few yrs before I compete overseas at Worlds. This is only my first yr competing and I'm only 20. I want to make sure when I do go to world's I do well.
I'm gonna go back next yr since I'm a stubborn **** and want that #1 title haha. Have eaten so much **** since the comp, just woke up then (5:00am here now) and finished my ice cream and chocolate that I had left over from yesterday lol feel a little guilty though but I think I earnt it. Still managed to gym twice yesterday (once at the hotel in Sydney and went straight to the gym after we landed at home and had a massive 2.5 hr back and bicep session before I treated myself.
Once I get pics from the event I'll post, here is my insta in the meantime and I have uploaded a few pics since.

I hate shoulders with a passion. They are so hard ugh. Back and Biceps tonight + abs since I didn't have time for them last night
Does anyone hit the gym early in the morning? Around 5-6? If so, how does it feel? Do you feel more refreshed in the morning?

**** my life, skipped gym this morning, because it was raining like crazy and my wisdom tooth is growing, causing pain that cannot be described in words
My swollen cheek made me wonder, how to get a slimmer face? I've lost so much weight already, but I still have hamster cheeks, which I ****ing hate, makes me not wanna take pictures and smile at all And I've been seriously considering consulting a plastic surgeon to remove fat from cheeks (the surgery is really quick and cheap abroad).

The only plastic surgery I've considered is on my ears to make them a bit smaller, and I was considering bringing out my jaw line more because I have a baby face But in years time I'll look younger then I do and I can always make my jaw line look stronger with stubble.
See what happens if you can't slim down your face

Thanks to the person who liked my fb page! if others can too I would be so appreciative thanks.
In regards to the slimmer face, how old are you? It might just be your 'baby face'. Otherwise I tend to put fat on my cheeks first before anywhere else lol but when I lose weight i lose it there first too

Shoulders >>>>>
They are like the easiest to try. When I have little motivation to train I always do shoulders. Im doing them tomorrow plus arms too. ANd yeah I gym early sometimes. Feels good but I generally then go back at night too lol

Ohhh, so are you saying I could go to the gym 2x a day?
Actually, if I come to think about it, I could easily divide it then, cardio in the morning, weights in the evening - would sleep like a baby after that
I'm not really concerned about gaining muscle or anything, all I care for is getting my torso (chest and make BELLY lean and disappear)
