Femme + ARTPOP were underperformances. They generated hits, but had abysmal sales + failed to live up to their last eras.

Brittany Jean, Glitter, and Rebel Heart are examples of flops. Eras that failed to produce any hits, and also had abysmal sales.

After the release of Beyoncé, 4 does seem like a transition period for KING. At the very moment it was released I thought it would stand on its own merit. Now it just feels like it kinda didn't. Well, 4 still has some of her very best material, tho.
