It should have been that in the first place, or it better have that as an evolution.
Am not here for that mess.

But you and I were both talking about me, not people, right?
Hazards exist... and even if you can't set them up, as I said, Donphan and Mamoswine can OHKO with Shard, so you can just sack whoever you have out and then send them in. I mean, you were arguing that Salamence is worse since those two can OHKO it, so I'll do it back
|
Why do you keep saying scarf, when I already said that's what I meant?
I was not talking to just you, you are not the only one reading my post.
And why are you saying Mamoswine and Donphan can OHKO Dragonite with Ice Shard? They can't at full health. Not unless they're boosted.

I wasn't very crazy about Litleo when it came out, but I was looking forward to the Manticore-like evolution rumors. Not this basic ugly flop thing. The next Flareon. Ew.

Mence has the Scarf set on his side, and that's assuming the opponent doesn't have any more Steel-types, so it's not like it's completely flawless either.
I'm not assuming they won't have it, but then again you're assuming most teams don't run a Rapid Spin user, and that's not accurate. If you can assume they have no Steel-types left, I can assume I managed to get rid of SR before sending Dragonite out. And that's a whole 'lotta picture.
|
Why do I have to specify which set I prefer? They both can be pretty effective except the DD set is better if you pull it off right
But if you must know, I prefer the Scarf set. Mence can take down steel-types with Fire Blast, they have to switch out first, I know, but he's not completely hopeless Rapid Spin can be moderately difficult to pull off, since it can be very predictable. All you really have to do is switch to Jellicent or Cofagrigus or even Gengar if you choose to.
Point is, Dragonite won't truly shine until Stealth Rock is completely out of the game. And if you're playing against a smart opponent, that can be hard to do.

I'm quite embarrassed I even jumped in. I mean they're both about equally as good and most OU competitive battlers agree with that

Kinda But not just you. This includes me, AMIT and others
And yeah, Salamence is a better sweeper but Dragonite is more versatile and overall better. Honestly I thought we were only discussing sweeping abilities but I guess not

Mess, I probably won't pull those as much later in the year since I'm just at my time of the year where I'm huge on competitive battling
And yeah I thought so too, but it started to turn into an overall discussion so...

It wasn't us who strayed off the topic (who's the better sweeper)?
