I think it was in that one journalist lady's book. She wrote about all the people she met and worked with over the past couple of decades and had nothing but praise for Gaga.
Clarence's last video was TEOG so I'm glad Gaga stuck by his side and put him in it.
And see, this is the kind of stuff Gaga talks about when saying she doesn't like being controlled. Of course a label or a director would want a hot model, but having Clarence in the video didn't hurt anyone. Sometimes Gaga doesn't want to think about "how pretty can we make something" and wants more emotion in it.

Maybe I'm just being naive, but this is why I'm excited about the next era. We thought we were going into the ARTPOP era with no issues, but it turned out there were still issues. Now that Gaga is quite literally free of all the toxic people in her life, she has nothing holding her back. And with a new management firm backing her, she has access to Livenation's resources that can help her do what she truly wants.
If she and her team can't get their **** together for the next era then there really isn't any hope, but I have faith in her.
