When two bigger hits like "Firework" and "Payphone" that sold way more than "Say It Right" and had better performance, are above on the all time chart.
Those are POINTS, not sales. Totally a different system
I don't understand the logic people use. "With that promo and those hits, it should have been more successful"...No, it is successful because of those hits and the fact that it had promo and 5 #1 singles doesn't take away from the fact that most pop releases don't even sell what Teenage Dream sold. Yes, the sales are amazing.

They're bringing up massive hits to make her look like her era less impressive What kinda flawed logic?
I mean, it's respectable, but still kinda lame for an era that lasted so long and had a bazillion #1s
Many artists have done way better off way fewer (or smaller) hits tbh. You'd think TD would've sold a lot more considering the "complete my album" price on iTunes would be pretty low after buying all the singles, but maybe people felt the rest of the album was filler

what recent album besides a Taylor release has outsold Teenage Dream in the US (clearly your "bazillion #1s" is referring to her 5 #1s)?
Born This Way only had 1 #1 compared to TD'S 6 #1S and it still managed to sell 6 Million. So no, those numbers are not impressive given the fact that she had so much promo and so many hits.
