All of you are going on and on about WW sales and touring gross sales, but the reality is the question isn’t about how well she does financially with her music. When I hear “major pop girl” I hear someone people know and recognize to this day. She may not be a global household name like Rihanna, Gaga, and Katy, but if you go out and ask people who Ke$ha is, they’ll probably have an answer. To me a “major pop girl” is someone who’s name is recognized, and no one can say hers isn’t.

I love Ke$ha, I will forever be here for her (pop) music, but she is not a leader in today's music. Recognition at awards shows, big tours, and interest in the artist's personal life outside of their music may not seem super important separately but all together when you consider Ke$ha has next to none of those, it shows that she isn't A-List.

A-List: main pop girls (Beyonce, Rihanna, Katy, Gaga, etc.)

I consider "main" pop girls to be A-listers. Thus Ke$ha would not be a "main" pop girl at this moment in time. Not that these kinds of classifications have any real impact on anything. I mean Katy is undeniably a main pop girl but this "status" didn't make Unconditionally a smash hit, nor did Gaga's status as a main pop girl make Applause #1 or Do What U Want a Top 10. These are just labels that fans and stans give to their artists to make them feel like their fave is doing well. I mean I'm sure that there are still plenty of people who consider Britney an A-list pop girl because of her past. I personally like to go on what's happening right now more so than what has happened.

And before any pressed soul feels the need to report this, I'm literally not even being shady. I'm just saying how it is. The GP don't care how famous you are, if they don't like the music they won't buy it. It's really that simple.
