In other words, the trinity is an individual's favourite three pop girls out of a selection of the most successful or iconic female artists during a specific time period. From an objective point of view, Lady Gaga would make sense in such a trinity seeing as her impact has been almost unrivaled this generation.

This is actually the first time I've actually taken the time to think about trinities even if they're talked about all the time on ATRL. It's actually one of the stupidest concepts I've ever heard about on a music forum.

Sure. I actually think the peaks of Gaga and Beyoncé overlapped but it doesn't really matter, whatever time period you want to assign her to I'm not really worried about.

Yes. Her rise to fame is extremely impressive. The trinity should be filled with superstars, not artists who just have high record sales.

Gaga is a massive touring artist and is really only bested by Madonna in that department. Her album and singles sales are also very noteworthy. Plus she has made Forbes 3 years in a row, topping it even.

Rihanna and Katy aren't grouped with GaGa because GaGa blatantly outperforms both of them, and has a much stronger role in the creative development of her career and image than either of them. Rihanna and Katy are your standard hot-producer, hot-songwriter, hot-chick industry fair. GaGa has busted boundaries and brought a damn whirlwind through the industry, and established herself as a touring act rivaling and beating rock bands who have been around for decades. She's trinity material simple as.
