It's also known as the "Lifetime Achievement Award," so no.
The "lifetime" refers to the videos, not the career. Hence why it's marketed as "videos that have had a profound impact on MTV culture". And eerie how you ignored my post to you on page two.
Calm down girl .... The Vanguard award is rarely given , it could be years until giving the next Vanguard award.
I think the 4th woman to get it could be "Beyonce" ...
I wasn't even implying that all of them would win. I just said I could see them winning. So you can take your attempt to clock me out of here boo and sit.
And your future recipients list is similar to mine anyway. So let's not fight about this, let's co-operate.

Gaga deserves it next. She's already the second most awarded artist in the history of the VMAs after Madonna, surely that says something about her worthiness.
This reminds me of the story behind the name change. Michael Jackson was pissed when Madonna, and not him, got named artist of the decade so they renamed that VA award for him to appease him.
Madonna getting awarded the Artist of the Decade Award in 1989 (sorry, only video I could find of it)...
Michael Jackson getting basically the same award a year later in1990...
THE AWARDED LADIES:
Just for the fun of it, Madonna presenting George Michael with the award. He's one of the girls anyways.
