Samsung stans always make me laugh. They confuse innovation with a smartphone for meaningless updates with useless widgets that will make the phone lag and suck.

This tbh. I'm a loyal apple user. Its products at least for me are always the simplest, funnest products to use. That's still true, but up until now I also considered their products to be miles ahead of the competition in terms of design and innovation. The design hasn't seen any drastic gains over the last few years but the iPhone 5 is still the prettiest phone to hold, use, and look at imo. Innovation wise it's stagnated. Time after time i see a lost revolutionary opportunity (Siri, Passbook). They have the user base and name recognition to turn this around, and even if they don't they're far from over, but they can't keep going down this path if they want to stay atop their throne.

Released a week before the quarter start with all those "front loaded" sales. Lets be real, the SGSIII + the iPhone 5 were the only really popular phones during the holiday. The only ones that people cared or talked about.

Samsung is obviously gonna sell the most smartphones the holiday quarter but Apple will get the most profits by a lot.

Passbook came out like 4-5 months ago. Siri isn't out of beta yet. Expect big things for them both this year. I expect Siri to finally come out of beta much more improved after all the data they got from the crowd sourcing. Apple knows their potential. They're not really lost opportunities.

The screen size isn't even close to the only thing that changed. People laud other companies for changing materials for a better experience but glass to aluminum is apparently nothing.

Not surprising. iPhones are extremely expensive, I can't afford them and I feel like the latest version is no way different than the iPhone4, they need to find a way to innovate next time somehow.

Most people will end up protecting their phones with a case anyway. So in the end the material is not that important (at least not enough to be used in their commercials as argument ).

All my friends use 4S which was the MOST pointless upgrade from the iPhone 4. So my upgrade from iPhone 4 to 5 was most welcome and appreciated. It's my baby.
