Stoked that @taylorswift has invited the band and I to join her on her UK leg as well as North America and... http://fb.me/3RC7iV0E9
Perched for Vance but wouldn't it be easier to have James open all her European dates? Not that I'm complaining

She said it was written about a dream but I'm guessing she related it to either Harry or Jake.
I thought Never finally reached 4 million or was that counting streams? But yeah, non eventful after a few weeks. But the never ever, lIke ever is still refrenced a bit
Listening to Ellie Goulding's Bright Lights EP. I need Taylor to do music like this. Also, the lyrics are so strong. Intelligent electronic music. Best pop album of the decade so far tbh
Yeah Shake It Off will be her signature hit on par with Love Story. And Trouble remains a bigger hit than Blank Space, although let's see its longevity. Let's not also forget the massive impact of YBWM. And Never Ever feels out of place compared to these massive songs lol. Can't even hold a stick the impact.
Style is going to be one of her signature hits as well.
James Bay! Wow, Taylor befriending all the major new British acts! Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, Sam Smith and now James Bay! She obviously knows 1D and Tom Odell too. Plus The 1975! All she needs now is George Ezra and Ella Henderson that will be pretty much everybody!
James Bay did an interview last year where he talks about meeting Taylor in Nashville.
Quote:
When he played it live on Fearne Cotton’s Live Lounge on Radio 1 in September, an unknown last-minute booking after Lana Del Rey pulled out, he started trending on Twitter and the song became the most searched on the track-identification service Shazam. Taylor Swift, currently the world’s biggest pop star, loves it. She went to a Hozier gig in Nashville recently, where Bay was supporting, and buttonholed him as she left through the stage door.
“She had a lot to say about it. She got deep into it. She was dissecting the lyrics, wanting to know about all these specific little moments in the song. She said I’m on her playlist of stuff that she listens to all the time. It’s nice when somebody that enormously famous gives you a little nod of the cap.”
Bay is now selling out venues and he’s in the middle of his first US tour. It’s memorable for a number of reasons, particularly for the very special fan he met on the second night. “This girl was waiting for me after the show, she came over and said, ‘Are you James Bay?’ I was like, ‘Excuse me?!’ It was Taylor Swift! She told me she loved my songs, and that she had a few of them on her playlist. She was dissecting the lyrics in front of me, she said she particularly enjoyed the verse lyrics to, ‘Let It Go’.”
Mike Spencer (1-2 songs) [coproducer with Max/Shellback]
Imogen Heep (2-3 songs) [just a co-producer]
Jack Antonoff (2-3 songs) [but if he's involved the songs should be more "fun." influenced, 1 song alone, 1 with Ali, 1 with Max]
Shellback (2-3 songs) [co-producing with max and Ali]
Greg Kurstin (2-4 songs) [1 song just him, 1 song with ali, 1 song with max/ shellback, 1 with the 1975)
Max Martin (3-5 songs) [mostly co produced with others like 1989]
Ali Payami (3-5 songs) [some songs without Max/ shellback, 1 just him , another 1 with him and Greg]
MONSTA (3-5 songs) [1 mostly him, 1 co prodcuing with max/ shellback, 1 with ali, 1 with the 1975, 1 with Imogen]
The 1975 (3-6 songs) [similar to there stuff, maybe 1 song co produced with max/ max and shellback, and another produced with ali/ max and ali, another with Greg, and the rest just 1975]
(14-20 songs)
As for sound, it'll be about 1/4 electronic influenced pop, 1/4 dance pop, 1/4 pop, 1/4 alternative-pop/rock.
It'd be like a poppier/ dancier/ happier version of The 1975/ All This Bad Blood/ Halcyon Days
Overall genre: Alternative Dance Pop with electronic, experimental, & soft alt/ pop rock influences [Pop on itunes]
Mood: 1/3 happy, 1/3 fun, 1/3 "dark" (and by dark i mean lyrical DRAGS like Forever & Always, Better Than Revenge, & Blank Space)
compared to other albums: poppier / electronic rockier/ more uptempo version of Trouble (the album) by Natalia Kills, poppier electronicier/ more uptempo version of the 1975
STANDARD: 13 Songs
Itunes Standard: Standard + 2 bonus songs + 2 demos
Target Deluxe: Standard + 4 bonus songs (totally different from the itunes songs) + 2 demos ( demos different songs than itunes standard) (4 voice memos, 1 voice memo= debut single, 1 voice memo= album track, other 2 voice memos= memos of deluxe tracks)
compared to other albums: poppier / electronic rockier/ more uptempo version of Trouble (the album) by Natalia Kills, poppier electronicier/ more uptempo version of the 1975
I approve of all this + Talking Body
I need it to be more darker too ... dark synth-pop .. like OOTW but more ambient
