the thing about Gaga is that she was never a radio force
Hope that changes this era

This is already wrong when Baauer already did it though, like Castro said.

Yeah, that's always frustrated me. Streaming will help her a lot, but I'd like her to be bigger on radio as well. It's sort of 50/50 on whether she could, though - it depends on whether she makes the sort of EDM that radio is going to want to play.

I don't know Baauer
But all jokes aside, the only pop girls I see debuting at #1 are Katy and Gaga since they were the last ones to do it in the past couple of years. I could be wrong, but their first week digital power is enormous.

It is strange how I've been here her whole career and only recently noticed she's only faired so/so on radio, mainly getting support from Pop. She might do better on Rhythmic this go around with the sound of the songs, or at least what we've been told.

Well, it depends on the type of EDM she releases.
If its another Born This Way-esque camp galore, she won't do much on Streaming (Isn't their core demo straight guys anyway?)
The kind of EDM Calvin, Avicii etc make does really well on streaming. 'Dance-Pop', not so much.

Don't forget Britney.
I feel like Britney will need a very strong lead single, though. If "Ooh La La" manages to become a moderate hit by some miracle it could also set the stage for a bigger debut from the lead single, since it will build anticipation just a little.
"Ooh La La" itself will probably have a top ten debut (or second week if the rumors of it releasing on the 16th are true), then plummet. We'll see whether it can recover, though.

We know she's working with Zedd and Madeon, so it's in the right direction of actual EDM.

"OLL" will and needs to flop. I'm cool with all the critical praise it's getting, but don't want it lingering until September when the 1st single from her album drops.

I'd be happy with a high debut or second week peak and then a flop after that.

Well, right now you've got "Get Lucky" doing well (as Daft Punk's biggest hit ever), in addition to the "I Love It" by Icona Pop.
The Disney girls' singles count too, I guess.

Thing is, it'll be mostly DJWS, with the likelihood that Madeon won't even make the album.
Calvin Harris/Avicii-EDM hasn't been selling well on iTunes here lately, so there's also that to consider. Didn't "Sweet Nothing" barely go platinum?
EDIT: Speaking of which:
36. I Need Your Love (feat. Ellie Goulding) - Calvin Harris

I'm hoping Zedd productions are dominant on ARTPOP, not DJWS productions. For some reason GaGa really ups the camp on his beats.

Yeah, I've noticed that a bit too. However, as seen on "We Came to Play" and some of his "mixtapes" from Soundcloud, he can do very well with himself, so if we cross our fingers and hope Gaga gives the production leash a little more slack, we could get amazing songs from him.

Yup. Don't You Worry Child too. And 'Feels So Close'. And the Ne Yo song no one remembers.
Krewella's Alive was the worst.

Calvin Harris' music is disgusting now . Overly generic and tired. He deserves to flop. Ready For The Weekend and his album before have amazing productions. Even RedOne and Dr.Luke have been more creative lately than he has

Well they might not move the units, but her name obviously has the bigger pull.
With Lady Gaga on the bill, plus her promotion over their lack of, I think using them as not being able to sell is redundant.

Stay has not gotten a red update for the last 15 updates on kworb and it's the weekend she always falls hard
Could it be the "soldiers" version of stay? It has gotten a lot of view on YouTube.
Nonetheless loving the longevitiy
