She should go and make an album with a theme then. I'm glad she loves ARTPOP and I'm really glad she brought it to life with artRAVE because that was the perfect celebration for this album, but she needs to either have a theme that she can easily make music for (like The Fame Monster) or just go off the edge and give us some heartfelt **** you pop music that'll scalp all the haters.
I'm really hoping she'd lay off the self biographical songs about her and Donatella versace , and nonsensical lyrics that throw people off, and give us some heartfelt songs that are relatable (with a smidgen of Gaga'ish lyrics of course )

That's true too, and it's evident that she can overthink. BTW the album is proof of that. In this case though, it's like the theme of the album is non-existent throughout the songs. Instead of just saying "My album is based on a really big party and you're invited to listen" she just said "my ARTPOP could mean anything" Which I guess, art CAN mean anything you want but . The title/song set wouldn't even be that bad if it made sense with the songs.
I agree - IMHO, I don't think that the official version of ARTPOP is what Gaga originally wanted, and her saying 'my ARTPOP could mean anything' is a way of covering herself (not that I'm calling her a fraud). The lack of cohesion in the album as you described is evident enough of that.

I feel like she just can't function without a SET theme. Like she had one, SOMETHING made it change and then everything kinda went down hill. So she just recorded a bunch of random songs and threw them together very sloppily.

No they weren't. I knew them at one point. I think one of those Twitter accounts posted them before, but I can't remember. I just know the verses were totally different, because Applause was one of the original songs she did before the whole art Koons theme
I hate that the documentary they were planing to release has no chance of seeing the light now , they would have definitely released it if the era was great and there was enough hype to launch it

Her next album will be like TFM 2.0, centering around the rise and fall and tragedy of celebrities. Like each TFM song was the fear of a certain monster, it'll be centered around one celebrity that either died or just experienced a build up to tear down from the media

she can get whatever big shot producer with a snap of her hand and commence making a radio friendly , hallow album crafted only to seek chart success , but she somehow doesn't , I deep down want her to conform and do it but I still don't like the thought of her putting her visions aside and turning into one of the many flavorless pop girl
I agree, something set off her thematic. She definitely hinted about the phoenix rising above the ashes and then the decay, and then suddenly she was the phoenix buried in the ash
Yeah, I think she tried the "phoenix rising" theme twice (the first was the super sad "decay of the blonde" version; the second was the acid Disney Princess trap/EDM fierce theme we were supposed to get before the album was delayed), but her label rejected it both times. I don't blame her for not being able to come up with an amazing collection on her 3rd attempt.

If she actually did this, then the G.U.Y. video would actually have been a great end to this era and lead into that era. I kind of like the decay theme. I just hope she does something with it someday. After all the **** she's gone through this era, I need The ARTPOP Monster to slay us all
