Amazon is a more reliable indicator than iTunes but it's still not 100%. Albums that were lower in the sales ranks have ended up higher on the actual Billboard Album charts. It's also hard to tell since "Rated R" was only added to Amazon a month ago and hasn't been available for pre-orders as long as her competitors.
Rihanna is pretty well on Amazon anyway since she has 3 versions of "Rated R" on the list (#47, #158, #18) and that'll all be combined.
so ive been promoting this album all day while I was at school. No one said they are buying it (but neither were they buying gaga or beyonce). People are so cheap yo. Its like ugh. Im buying my copy today. IDC what no one says. I dont even want Rihannas album to be #1 on the Billboard 200. This album is a masterpiece in its entirety, and if people dont really see that because of her image or whatnot, then forget them. Rihanna knows what shes doing. She'll still pull in fans and make money.

This album is a mess. I bet it will grow on me like GGGB did. I just feel like most of the album is so blah. Nothing on the album is really WOW. RR should have done better on the charts; I'm really shocked it didn't go to #1, but whatever. I feel like most of the singles won't chart high this time around.
