this season is sort of bad :/ i've been denying it, but every wednesday my friends hate it, and they're right: it's boring, it's stupid and silly and cheesy, there's no real plot, and all the characters are kind of cringe-worthy.

jessica is the same boring character, sarah's a mess, twisty's whole thing was just ridiculous and weird, dandy and his mom are awkward and so over-the-top. everything's just silly and it feels different than the other seasons.

i think it's better than coven (but that's not saying much), but it's just...uneventful and boring. i think a couple seasons down the line, people will not look on this one fondly. i think it was a mistake doing this theme.

I kind of have to agree.



I mean I'd love this show even if it was about a group of Murderous Drag Queens that do nothing but throw shade and wigs at each other, but this season is lacking. Hell by this point even Coven had a **** load more going on (which was a problem, but ignoring it). I still am entertained and I love the characters and some of the storyline, but it just isn't wowing me.

The biggest part that's missing now is Twisty. They teased us with him and showed us this great villain and big-bad, but now we're just stuck with Dandy. Who I love and I know he has potential, but this episode he was just the same whiny little man child we've already seen. The twins are also grossly underused; though I realize this is because of the amount of time it takes to film Sarah's scenes.

Idk hopefully they pull it together, but Asylum and Coven are definitely better IMO (at least by their first 6 episodes).

You have an amazing montage sequence in the episode “Pink Cupcakes.” What was it like filming the whole thing in nothing but some tighty-whiteys?

I still remember it. I could do it if I ever have to do a monologue. [Laughs] It’s always a little daunting at first because you don’t see it when you watch the thing, but a film set is basically a bunch of dudes standing around with equipment and you’re naked doing this thing. But as you get into it and you start to know everybody, it becomes a real communal effort, and they’re all trying to make it good too.

I lost my self-consciousness within a few minutes of starting it. And I had been given some fair warning, a few weeks before, that I was going to be showing some skin, so I was able to get somewhat ready mentally and physically.

We’re on episode eleven right now and every new episode really adds a new twist and a new dimension to every character and to Dandy especially. I feel like I keep kind of digging deeper with each new episode. This was a fun exploration. I think we catch Dandy at a catharsis in his own life, so he’s figuring out as we are.

problem is, first two seasons had really good balances. but Coven was TOO plot-based, no character development, and Freak Show was the opposite (for me). And every potential plot occuring (like last week's episode, it was FULL of different routes) is always stopped by silly things, like tonight.

elsa has to go. and, yeah, i feel like twisty wasn't originally supposed to go like that. it was wasted potential used to shock. and for dandy, one second he's badass, the next he's a big baby. i don't care about any of the characters.

That's what JSharzer told me. But the tea about Maggie actually liking the freaks (or at least, Jimmy) & Stanley putting the pressure on her to do things to them was true, and based on the teaser for Test of Strength, so is the tea about Stanley forcing the freaks to be given to him.

I liked that episode...not the best episode but it was good...Jessica Lange served that breakdown! next week tho looks like its going to be awesome!! Damn all those daydreams of poor Ma Petite had me on the edge of my seat..I see Ryan Murphy is dragging her death out lol
