I've watched it several times for that reason. I think that's what she tries to do. Most of the people I've talked to said that after the fifth or sixth time, everything starts making sense.

"California King Bed" was basically Rihanna trying to recreate Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry." That's why it failed to do well on the charts, there was nothing special or fresh behind it.

Besides, "Cheers" sounds extremely different than anything Rihanna's put out + anything on the radio right now. It's a perfect fall single for her.

Just like "You and I" is perfect for Gaga.

I don't think people are complaining because they just don't like her. The album wasn't very good at all. I only 3 songs from the entire thing. I understand wanting to grow musically but I think everyone is disappointed because it was a direct step back and in the opposite direction.

What utter nonsense. It's an absolutely fantastic album. The best pop album in at least 5-6 years, possibly longer.

Personally Cheers is the most irritating song on the entire album to me and I actually like her music. I've tried to get into to Cheers but I just can't lol.

Well, that is your opinion. I just didn't like anything on the album besides Judas, Bloody Mary and Heavy Metal Lover. I just feel that she takes herself way too seriously and what made The Fame and The Fame Monster so great was that they both had great easy to listen to dance songs on them. Everything on BTW *to me* sounds so heavy and full of religious and or political messages when it really isn't needed or necessary.

Not only have I heard it, I *own* it. It's massively overrated. There are about 3 or 4 genuinely great songs on it, a huge amount of filler, and a handful of atrocious non-songs. It's not even in remotely the same league as Born This Way.
