You can use them, but they'll still be censored. I'd suggest:
F–––
S–––
etc.
They're smart enough to fill in the blanks. At least, I hope they are.
Even better, bypass the censor by putting part of the word inside [color=black] tags. Bypassing the censor is warnable in the regular forums but your songs never leave our PM's so it's OK there
Is it better to add the genre, a description of the sound, etc. or do the judges prefer to have just the lyrics?
I'd go for at least a basic description. I've read a few songs and I haven't known if they were meant to be ballads or uptempos, which makes it odd trying to sing it to yourself.
I sent mine in...right at 140 words, too. It's kinda a "Hail Mary" entry being I was on the lower end of the rankings. I'm either gonna get high praised for creativity, or roasted alive for messiness!
Why is Taylor's Better than Revenge literally perfection? One of my faves from her entire discography. When we will? I won't even try to write over this song and deface it
I came up with part-lyrics for 3 different songs in the shower.
I actually come up with a lot of my hooks in the shower I think it's the calming environment where like there's no distractions. Everything's so clear.

I wish I had a waterproof notepad to use in the shower tbh

I used to be terrible at remembering what I'd come up with in the shower but the more I do it, the more I can remember. Just keep repeating it to yourself until you finish.

I do this, get distracted and I forget again lmao
BTW repeated sections don't count in the wordcount do they?
