Creatively, I totally agree that the next album should be pop/rock/blues. I'd love some metal in there too.
It's authentic to her routes, it's what people have long wanted her to do, it's not trend-restrictive or as dated as dance, it's far closer to what the Grammys et all will actually reward, and she's the only pop girl can really pull that off because she has artistic cred and affiliation with countless rock legends.
Have a mixture of raw intimate personal tracks, power ballads about love and overcoming, catchy anthems (TEOG sans synths), rock n roll party jams (put your whiskies in the air etc.) and maybe some more Electric Chapel's.

Commercially though, she probably should do pop/r&b. More Sexxx Dreams, DWUW, No Way, Second Time Around etc.
