Even the song has an Outcast -Hey ya kind of feel and theres that Hollaback Girl sound. I wouldn't call it a rip-off, it doesn't feel intentional as that opening umbrella like drum is quite "generic". And the thing with music is if you've listened to a lot ,you'll notice similarities between many songs over time

So to recap, Shake It Off is a mashup of:
1. Hey Ya by Outkast
2. Umbrella by Rih
3. Hollaback Girl by Gwen
4. 7 Things by Miley
5. Dancing On My Own by Robyn
I think this is why I'm not feeling it so much right now, hopefully it will grow on me.
And the video is very Hollaback Girl and 7 Things.
If she keeps doing straight up Pop songs (which I love btw), she might lose that thing that made her unique and separated her from the others.
