Yeah, SIO was a REALLY bad choice for a lead single. She should recognize that her incredibly high sales come from her HUGE country fanbase who are extremely loyal. She is completely alienating people who loved her for her country music and it's really going to affect her sales. I don't think she's going to be able to pull what she did last album.
Pop lead single with a few country promotional singles isn't going to cut it. The country scene is really going to ditch her soon and pop music buyers aren't nearly as loyal as Country fans. Her sales are going to plummet (for her standards) if Country stops supporting her.
Not only is SIO pure bubblegum pop, but it's incredibly BAD bubblegum pop. Like I really don't get it. I was rooting for her
