The quick editing of that part was to portray the chaotic nature of that time in her life. I agree, though, 'cause I would have loved to see a full scene of her lugging her piano up and down the stairs.
I don't know, a lot of people are calling it poor directing or editing, but it's obvious that the way the film was edited was to portray certain emotions and how that time in her life was. I saw someone complain about how she blended in with the crowd during the dance studio scene, but that was the point. She was young and she wanted to fit in. She wanted to make friends. I mean, like, it's not that hard to understand. Everything clicks with another view. If after the second view, you don't like it, then okay.
Like I LOVED how it was showing the flash backs and all, but I felt like some of the scenes cut too fast, so I didn't know what I was seeing.
