I know right! I wish people would have just expressed how the video could have been made better instead of just outright saying it was bad. Sometimes things take time to grow on you, especially when you don't understand them.

Everything connected with me and none of the scenes seem out of place. The scene where she walks into the school and everyone is looking at her like, "Why are you here" is very powerful. The whole hospital scene has me weeping at its beauty. I loved the ballerina part and the ending when all of the flashbacks or w.e. begin. I can't wait for HD on Vevo.
I am confounded as to how anyone doesn't like this video.

 She is a true inspiration.
I think most people love it, just look at the comments in that video thread. Even her haters praise the video. It's very inspiring and not that hard to understand.
Gaga could easily call a professional and blow everyone away, but I think it's not that important for her at this point. I don't see anything wrong with an artist that wants to take control over her own career. Isn't this album called Born This Way? We should be happy to have a fave like her.

She blew me away. I started crying at the end because of how happy I was. When I first viewed it, I was like, "This is aight, I like it," but damn... It's just amazing, imo. I'm gonna watch this one over and over again.

I find it very interesting that we have two such polarizing opinions on the video. Some people think it's her best and some are trashing it. For me, I love it too much to care about directorial flaws it may have.
Of course Gaga could excel even further with guidance of other professionals but she wants to do it herself so what can I say?

The bathtub is symbolic in that it represents a place that is transformative. The old, unwanted is washed away and one emerges new. It’s a place Gaga often uses as a place of escape and change.

o0o0o0o I'm finding some really nice analyses on Tumblr.

Ive come to realize that Marry The Night is an ode to reality as perception. The music video, and song, tell the story of a defeated Stefani Germanotta who has been recently dropped from her first record label and the subsequent events that lead her to Interscope Records in Hollywood. Though the premise seems simple, her depiction of reality and what truly happens complicates, but also colors what can simply be called a story of redemption. What she shows in the video is, to her, what really happened. It is her reality as she perceives it, and is in her case more “real” that what has really happened. The lines of perception and reality are blurred, but it is clear that this is the story of Gaga through her own eyes, her own subjectivity, and her own perspective.

Yeah probably so Hopefully radio picks it up and people will buy it, we still have Ellen and Jingleball and the full video has not even been released to Vevo. Personally I hope she has some more promo lined up for the beginning of Next year.

Well for starters, the actual music video part could be more than three never ending and boring scenes.

I wish there was just a little bit more of something else during the music scenes, but other than that, I found it flawless. And call me delusional, you can **** off

Well I guess that's your opinion I mean I didn't find them boring. I found that she did let some scenes drag on for too long and others she cut them too fast.

Yep. And it has one of the best parts of the video where it's at the "Niiiiiight, "Niiiight" ending of the song.
