Here's my problem: it's their most blatant attempt for a #1 song since "See The Day". It's their most accessible song (which I never play when introducing people to the group). It panders to the public. I love my Girls when they are off their rockers so this whole Wall Of Sound approach rubs me the raw way and makes OOC become more and more disjointed - you have tracks in this vein then you have Love Is Pain and The Loving Kind which belong on an entirely different album. Wasn't a fan then, still not a fan now.

While I Agree with what you said about The Promise, I still really love the song. Its not there best, but still a gret track. Im fine with a Top 20...
Control of the Knife is just  it was an instant fav when TU was released...I didnt think it would be this high, but glad it is

It's spastic, bombastic and loud. Its got Nicola swearing. They're barely riding motorcycles. One of my favorite videos and it has a special spot in my heart for the sheer joy and stupidity the song has lyrically.

It's a really cute song done in the chanson style and I love the touches that make it clear it's a Parisian 60s style. Plus the video is cute. So while I think it's a tad high, I'm ok with this here.

The Show is still in?  Can it make the Top 10?
Such a shame that Chemistry has just Biology on top 20, but it's alright. Good run to those tracks 
EDIT: Hold up, why is Untouchable the Highest track from OOC? It's amazing but it shouldn't make the Top 10 IMO.

The Promise is how to do proper adult pop, Girls Aloud style. It's still them (there are about three-seven different chordal progressions/melodies throughout the song - no other pop act would have had the balls to do that.) It's a real accomplishment, and perhaps the most emotionally honest song that hit number one in 2008. It doesn't pander at all.
I've said it before, but Can't Speak French is such a great song because it's the musical equivalent of a crush. There's the first tinge of excitement, tension that leads to a climax ... and then it just hangs, unfulfilled. Brilliant. The single version ruins all of that, btw.

As the Girls have noted themselves, it's one of their better known numbers. And it really introduced the fact that the Girls will sing songs that make no logical sense whatsoever and make them sound flawless and ear candy. Should have been much much higher.

I've never gotten the meme that Love Machine makes no sense? It makes perfect sense! It's campy, totally tongue in cheek, but it's all about girls telling boys how to treat them right. They even admit to being imperfect!
Now Biology is a song that makes no godly sense; it's all the better for it.

I love the inherent drama of the music and the sense of urgency that the Girls throw at the song. Plus, they harmonize! Figured this would have been out 30 songs ago but I'll take it!

Ugh, I was hoping this could sneak into the top ten.
It's an adorable song that slid onto the first Greatest Hits after being a tour favorite. it's cute while layered, and it sets up perfectly with "Memory of You" as a follow up for the poor girl waiting at home for her man.

I like Cant Speak French, more so for the video, but still a good position
Black Jacks I didnt think people liked this song, its my absolute FAV from TU Im glad it made it this high...i was really hoping this would be the final single from TU
I kinda expected Love Machine to be out b4 the top 10, even though it didnt deserve to be.
Now i find Girl Overboard a bit overrated. Dont get me wrong i love the song, but when most people wanted this as a single, i really didnt want it to be...
i hate that atrl has been SO SLOW...otherwise my rates would have been sent
