Well it's bc that was Aaliyah's most global song & is when she really went mainstream.
She's not really Legendary, but she is Iconic, especially in R&B. There's a lot of gorls in the industry that emulate her & her sound. Tinashe & Zendaya are probably the main ones. She was one of the first teen sensations & stuff.
But you're not from here so that's probably why you see it differently.
