I mean think about the once hugely successful fads of yesteryears. If Ashanti had died right after her debut album era, people would've been on here saying she was going to be the number one star for the next 20 years and obviously that's not what happened...
There is a difference between both and there is only one way to know if that would happen.
Paula had her own Teenage Dream era. Didn't she have like 4 or 5 number ones in a row or something. Strange how you can be so huge on day and then completely forgotten the next
Paula Abdul at least in the records..her first album is the longest stay in the Hot 200 before hitting #1 for about 53 weeks I think...so it charted a year before hitting #1
Ugh I wish stuff like this still had a regular presence on the charts. This tropical house fusion hat we have now is just the pits. As is this annoying "retro" wave.
