I have read on the official forum that the nickname of LSH is actually Mother Merciless rather than Mother Mercy, There it was mentioned that it was a typo in the books. How much of this is true I don't know though

I don't think Stannis would sacrifice Shireen as he's definitely being positioned as the protagonist this season. If anything, like posted earlier in the thread, if Shireen gets sacrificed it'll be because Stannis dies at Winterfell and Melisandre convinces Selyse to kill Shireen to try and reincarnate him .

Jon being stabbed by the Night's Watch and presumed dead would be bigger than The Red Wedding and even bigger than your two suggestions.

I don't see that many people mentioning Varys coming back to King's Landing to kill Kevan and Pycelle . I know that wouldn't be as big as The Red Wedding, but if the last scene of the season is straight from the books, then that would make sense considering it's the last chapter of ADWD.
