So yeah, very clearly a Caught Out There rehash but it can work sometimes. I like how smoothly Kelis grazes over the verses and the 'survivor' part stays in your head, but otherwise it's nothing new. A decent song if not for the existence of a bigger and better one the album before.
Both of them pointed out it's reductivity, but
HonourableVomit was not pleased while
Eevee was just happy to get more angry Kelis.

This is technically Kelis's first single ever, and her introduction to the world. It's... competent on both parties sides. Kelis does an ok job as hook girl and ODB does an ok job on the rest. I don't really feel anything for this song, it's just there. It was a decent success though, breaking the US Top 40 and UK Top 20, which Kelis would expand on with her next single (which you won't be seeing fora long time).
Mixed reactions here.
Diarrhoea was not a fan, "I can't be that horrible to this because her part is actually quite nice, that's all I'm saying." Ooh. Tell us how you really feel.
HonourableVomit praises it as "classic" but
Eevee just admits "she's barely on this but she makes a cute hook girl I guess."
