If beyonce and rihanna were white they would have better first week sales.

It's easy to say that, but music, IMO, has no color compared to say film. Where you could argue "black films" vs "white films", and why one succeeds 99% of the time in comparison to the other.
The 3 names you list are exceptions. Gaga/Tay have huge fanbases, who are really supportive. ADELE's success is actually attributed to her wide demographic, not one race supporting her.
There's so much that actually goes into what albums are bought and the artists behind them (demographic, marketing, promotion, etc.), and race is probably literally less than 1% of that reason. It's just so silly. Katy, Miley, Gaga (now), Britney or any other white female aren't posting these numbers, either anymore or never have/wil.
Beyonce and Rihanna cannot be your go-to to support your argument because they are heavily mainstream and sell to the same demographic as Taylor. Self-Titled/4 didn't ponder to it, and actually supports my post. Beyonce herself has what, two albums over 500k+, one came close - and still matched the sales of her others - and "4"'s better-than-expected debut/final sales have always been attributed to the fact urban music sells better.
Plus I'm aware of many in the urban community between friends and family who don't like either one of them. But will go get the Mary J./Alicia/JAY/Drake/Ye/Wayne, etc. albums with a quickness, all who have multiple 500k+/close to and/or 1m debuts. Something only, literally a couple white bitches have.
