As for when I started stanning- probably DIL era. I remember begging my mom to buy me the album. I'd listen to it all the time on my computer (I didn't get a CD player until like 2006..) and study the lyrics on the album booklet.

Girls Aloud - I got into them through my interest in Cheryl. I listened to the solo music from Nadine + Nicola and then GA's music and fell in love.

Miley Cyrus - This paper gave me a free Hannah Montana poster and I didn't had idea of who she was (I couldn't watch Disney Channel) but I thought it was cute. Then I saw a DVD at the store and I decided to buy it. I really didn't know if it was movie or a TV show (yeah, I was that unaware) and I thought it was about spies bc of the cover (). But Hannah Montana The Movie is what made me fall in love. And then the Can't Be Tamed cd is what made me stan and respect Miley .
Britney - I always knew about her. I remember "...Baby", "Crazy" and "Toxic" and how popular she used to be. What made me dig into her discography was this Glee performance of "Slave", n.
Gaga - Massive. She was everywhere and I always liked her. I remember watching this countdown on TV and "Just Dance" was 1# when she wasn't even "famous" yet. Then "Poker Face" and boom.
Rih - Some Vh1 show was talking about S.O.S but didn't pay attention. Then the "Umbrella" video was pretty overplayed but her biggest moment without a doubt was during LTWYL/Only Girl/WFL. I got into her material
last year.
1D - I heard about them in a tween news forum I told everybody they would be next big thing when they just released UAN in the UK and they were irrelevant WW while Bieber was taking over. I was right .
My interest towards P!nk, Beyoncé, Katy, Madonna, Bruno,etc. artists was out of simple curiosity.
