What? How stupid. By the lawyer defending him by saying "it's not his fault, he doesn't know about responsibility and consequences because of his rich family" he's perpetuating that mindset.
No doubt this kid probably has stupid, entitled parents but he still killed 4 people and illegally consumed alcohol... If he doesn't learn to accept responsibility and the consequences of his actions from this he will never learn these valuable lessons... which means he will probably end up in court for who knows what else.
Well i was reading up on distinctions between criminal behaviour, and if the intent is their, then it automatically makes them liable to be sentenced since it's a criminal act. However, without intent, it is a guilty act and therefore the Judge/Jury rules based on their self-belief.
Not surprised. My cousin got off despite selling over 3 kilos of cocaine to an undercover cop because his parents hired the best lawyers money could buy. He ended up going to a white collar hotel esque prison for 2 months and got all charges dropped from his record after 6 more months of house arrest.
But that's life. What's the point of having money if there are no special perks?
This is getting national outrage and I'm glad. This is making other rich families look bad and disgusting. His parents are wrong for letting him just do whatever the hell he wants.
