Ariana doesn't have good enough vocals to just stand in one place and have the stage presence of a vegetable. Her little 1-2 step doesn't cut it. She won't last if she continues like that though. Demi can carry a show around her talents.

Being good is not good enough in this industry, you need to be great. I know that I could never become a great sporter, even if I tried. Demi isn't great at playing instruments, she just plays it.

Singing WHILE playing an instrument is an AMAZING talent. So Demi is beyond superior.

HOWEVER, vocally Ariana is better. But Demi pretty much wins dancing, acting (Grey's Anatomy), and as a musician.

Even if it's not good enough in the industry, it's a point towards Demi definitely, especially nowadays if you give most artists an instrument the first thing they would do is look at it funny.

And she's good at playing instruments. See her cover of Christina Aguilera's "Mercy On Me." She's not a great player but she's a good instrument player, I've recently realized just how hard it is to play an instrument on key and sing at the same time

Piano lessons, guitar lessons, drum lessons and bass lessons. She's had more lessons in all of these things than singing lessons because she believed she was good enough to go without it. Silly girl

No one is ever good enough to go without singing lessons. Not even the best vocalists in the world. Training keeps your voice in good shape. You can't maintain a great voice without lessons. Wear and tear will eventually kill your talent.
