i agree with the article, although i like "deja vu." but "ain't no other man" is probably the most original and daring pop single in a while. it really has nothing to it but a voice and some horns. i think nowadays only christina can pull that off. i think whitney could too in her prime.

she's an above average vocalist, but christina is better. if people could say beyonce was better than christina vocally, then it would be said. beyonce is a media darling.

I wouldnt' even go that far to be honest. Her record label has done an amazing job with getting her to so many events and her promotion was excellent. But her impact on the media has yet to be seen. It seems lately most of her fans are in the black market because most people can't stand her below average music. Beyonce has talent but she can't touch Christina. Her music is constantly chaging and she takes chances meanwhile Beyonce's stuff sounds like it could have been on DC3's first album. She shows no growth and never sings live. .

I know that Christina has one of the best voices in industry EVER, I respect her very much for that, but her vocal technique is lacking. I am a fan of hers, I own Stripped I am planning on buying B2B too, and I know her natural singing ability is stunning. She is a natural singer, while Beyonce is evolving and evolving. Her voice was FAR from what it is today a few years ago. Beyonce's voice is technically better, which doesn't make her a better singer. That is up to the natural sound of the voice.

I like Beyonce's voice better, but I am also a mad fan of Christina's voice . But hey, this my opinion, because I give more on TECHNICAL approach while singing. Some people disagree, OK, I can respect that.

But, when you say that the vocal critics have way more idea you are blinding yourself. Then why the hell does someone like Paris Hilton, or Hilarry Duff have WAY more success than someone who is a much better vocalist (like Katie Melua)?

Technically better means:
-breathing with abdominal muscles
-singing also with the help of resonance
-not forcing yourself into higher pitches if you have problems singing them(not straining)
-adducting vocal chords
-polished lower and higher register
