I wouldnt' even go that far to be honest. Her record label has done an amazing job with getting her to so many events and her promotion was excellent. But her impact on the media has yet to be seen. It seems lately most of her fans are in the black market because most people can't stand her below average music. Beyonce has talent but she can't touch Christina. Her music is constantly chaging and she takes chances meanwhile Beyonce's stuff sounds like it could have been on DC3's first album. She shows no growth and never sings live. .
I totally agree with this article. I feel bad for Janet though. I'm a big fan of her earlier years. Anyway, I remeber in an interview when they asked Simon Cowell about what he thought about the music artists today he said the same thing as this guy regarding Xtina and Beyonce. & comments that were made that Xtina's voice is being ruined by her techniques is completely false. I followed her since her first song Reflection and her voice has gotten so much better that it's unbelievable. & regarding her range, remember that note in Carwash? Dubbed the Mariah note. Xtina can hit it. Not in full voice like Mariah but she can get it. I think that they are the only two who can do it. Xtina's moreso known for her song Beautiful rather than Dirrty. I've heard both Xtina & Beyonce live so I personally would know who is better and Xtina is. It doesn't diminish Beyonce fans liking of Beyonce. It's just that she's not as good as Xtina. & never will be.
I have heard both Christina and Beyonce live too, and I like Beyonce better...It is up to opinions, who is a better singer and who is not. And Simon Cowell is the biggest idiot I have ever heard of..He is the same guy who described Ashlee Simpson as extra super talented.... :S
Christina's voice has not gotten better IMO, it is the same as it was 5 years ago. Sorry...
Oh, and how do you know Beyonce CANNOT hit that note..? Did she ever try to hit it...? I am sure that Beyonce still hasn't shown her full vocal range yet.
Oh, please. We all know that Xtina's vocals is not the same on Genie in A Bottle as it is on ANOM. Same goes for Reflection vs. A Song For You or Somos Novios. I saw Xtina both times she went on tour. She sounded way better on the Stripped tour. She writes her own music now. She is in control. Her label trusts her and they no longer restrict her on what she can do- which resulted in Stripped. Her music is actually inspriring to people and you can't say that about a lot of artists. To me she is the only one of any these pop artists that have grown. She is an artist and the rest of them are just performers.
and what does 'technically better' mean??? christina has a less polished, more raw voice. i've always thought that was by design?
I'm pretty sure that's why I prefer Beyonce. Just like I'd say Christina is better than Pink. I think a clear, smooth tone is much more pleasant to listen to.
