As i said i'm aware of it, i'm sure it will sell well, the promo is INSANE it'd be ridiculous if it didn't, (and if it doesn't get ready to be dragged Madonna fans ) but it won't sell as well as BTW or RITD in the long run, you can bookmark this if you want.

The lyrics, the cover, the mystery on how it would sound like, and the popjustice review alone have generated hype already. While this song, which the demo has leaked already and not even the first thing that comes to mind when you mention Madonna in 2012, doesn't have that momentum that would propel it in a global scale. The Superbowl performance is a good start, but it won't be enough.

And quite honestly I'd rather have it come out and not debut as big and be really good than to have some over produced, over hyped rehash come out, have a big flare and then fade away as quickly as it blew up.

Well if being the 6th best selling song of the year in the world is what we call "fading away" nowadays i'm sure the entire industry including Madonna wants to fade away.
This song will definitely be huge worldwide though. Let's not forget that Hung Up, Sorry and even 4 Minutes all had 10+ weeks at number 1 on the WW chart, without even being huge hits in the US. Madge is a really worldwide artists, it's more the US performance that's questionable, but I think she definitely has a #1 debut in the bag with the Super Bowl.
It will be overshadowed either by her iconic songs or by the Superbowl championship itself..
Or by how horrible her guests perform.
We all know the super bowl viewers love the dragging when it comes to performers, i can already see the backlash. If Madonna were the only one to perform i'm sure it'll all be perfect as always, but.. now that she has these companions .. im not so sure.

Think about who watches the Superbowl, certainly not pop music loving gays.
Everybody who was watching the Grammys knew that Gaga had a song coming out anyway; the Super Bowl reaches everyone and will expose her song to new audiences. The pop loving gays will be buying it anyway and stream her performance online.

No. Gaga caused more hype after being silent for a few months than Madonna did for being gone for years. I remember the hype. I was apart of it. Nothing will top it for a LONGGGGGGGGGGGG time.
