lol no, her new music has been the same sound blasting on the radio for the past few years. I was actually surprised, 'cus she used to be the leader in pop music , but now she's just a follower. And Dr. Luke talking about a new genre?, well probably 'cus he's original with his music and doesn't recycle beats and melodies from other songs.

Have you even heard Femme Fatale? I'm sorry but I don't know a single mainstream artist who has done dubstep before, maybe i've been under the delusional rock or something. Oh wait ...

Fill me in on some tea sis, who has ever done dubstep in the mainstream? Who was doing dance music before Blackout? Who reinvented teen pop? Cos I must be missing something.

She always rides with what's hot ATM and switches it up once the era is done without adding anything from her. She has no musical personality. When you hear songs you can't honestly say "that sounds like something Britney would sing" cause that feeling sure doesn't exist.
That article is a joke. Dr Luke just wants to pay homage to the girl who pays him. I ain't mad at him, I would do the same.

Yes, Brintey always rides with what's hot because there are 32 dubstep tracks in the top 40 chart. She has no musical personality? LMFAO, okay, whatever makes you happy. When you hear songs, you don't go "that's something Britney would sing" because you NEVER know what she's going to bring next.
Take a tour on her first singles and notice the ridiculous change in them. She's always going in different directions. Listen to Gimme More, then Womanizer, then HIAM, for instance. You feel like they're 3 different artists.
That article isn't a joke. Paying homage wouldn't be saying someone has THEIR OWN genre. There is genuineness in that.

We're entitled to our opinions.
No need for belittling them or acting all conceited.
By the way, it's probably the 1000th time, now, a professional praise her.
And some did it while knowing they wouldn't be featured on her album.
They had absolutely nothing to gain by saying good things about her way of working.
It's on par with what I said earlier : if it's negative it's true but if it's positive it's untrue.
I personally think her voice & way of playing with the words give a unique flavour to the marvellous productions she is always given. She's a part of the creation IMO.
I can't picture Criminal, He About To Lose Me & Inside Out being sung by anybody else.
I also think she has an impeccable music taste. 13 years at her side and she's still bringing it.

I may have not articulated the right way.
I didn't mean she's a follower by saying she rides with what's hot ATM and once the era is done she switches to the next hot stuff. She may make the things hot in the first place, I'm not denying that.
I just meant she had no musical personality in the sense she doesn't possess that X thing.
I think she selects the good songs and has a ear for hits but quite frankly she doesn't have any musical touch to me. Usually, when a main bitch switches genre, she caries her signature with her. For instance, Beyoncé's signature could be her harmonies she caries with her in every era. Brit doesn't have any signature. When you have a signature you make every genre your own genre. Brit can't do this. Hence my intervention.

You probably haven't heard of La Roux and the musical project called Major Lazer, they introduced dubstep on mainstream radio even before HIAM came out. And yes I heard Femme Fatale, and i'm not just talking about HIAM since I don't have a problem with that song. I'm just talking about Britney's new music in general which Dr. Luke is claiming to be innovative, which obviously isn't.

Currently I don't see it. Her new album seems like it's been influenced by Ke$ha rather than influencing others.

Her signature is her voice
Quote:
Entertainment Weekly's Adam Markovitz. "Spears is no technical singer, that's for sure. But backed by Martin and Dr. Luke's wall of pound, her vocals melt into a mix of babytalk coo and coital panting that is, in its own overprocessed way, just as iconic and propulsive as Michael Jackson's yips or Eminem's snarls."

One thing that I love from Britney is that she's always taking control over all of her albums (since Oops) , and all of them are great. Many people can say that she's not writting her songs, but she selects the songs that fit with her and she does the same with her coreographies, so in a way she's always creating and innovating new sounds with no fear about what people will say about them.

You should have said that earlier.
Anyways, one point I'd like to make clear. Bey has a signature, that drags on. She doesn't switch it up. It's the same. Britney has MANY signatures. The Toxic one, the Slave, the school girl, the moon girl, the ****you media. Which gives her more credibility than repeating ONE signature.
