When Madonna was 48, she released Confessions on a Dance Floor which outsold Loved me Back to Life and the upcoming Celine studio album COMBINED. Not to mention Hung Up made it's way to the Guinness Book of Records, which is difficult to achieve. Not everyone has that. Also, Madonna did the Confessions Tour which became the highest grossing female tour at that time.
So I think it's safe to say that Madonna has eclipsed Celine based on the statistics provided and there isn't sufficient evidence to suggest Celina "outlasted" her.
Take a stats class. It may help tremendously.

Why are you comparing her old albums with LMBTL?
A New Day Has Come - 12M (2002) // American Life - 5M (2003)
One Heart - 5M (2003) // Confessions on a Dance Floor - 12M (2005)
Total: Céline 18M - Madonna 18M.
Madonna: 1st and 2nd most grossing tour by a female artist.
Céline: The most grossing residency of all time and third most grossing tour by a female artist.
Celine is Madonna's only "peer" who's still consistently successful.
And I know that céline hasn't "outlasted" Madonna, but they are in equal status.
