I know I may be biased but every girl that is on the scene (Sevyn, Tinashe ) always give the Kelly Rowland/Aaliyah vibes. Even Jennifer Hudson and Fantasia are now serving Kelly Rowland.
Nobody is trying the Beyonce route because, the always fail (Ashanti, Amerie) or kill their careers.
"The blueprint of pop music" and "the blueprint of R&B music" aren't different things. If you're a mainstream music artist and global celebrity, then your success and the trajectory of your career don't care what sound the music you make is.
Besides, Madonna has made R&B music in her career. And Beyonce clearly sees Madonna as one of her inspirations, just look at the 'Haunted' video. And I'm sure Madonna has also been inspired by Beyonce.
basically Beyonce is acting today like an outlier in the world of Popstars and R&B singers. Following her blueprint/standard is such a big risk for anyone who doesn't got Creole voodoo magic.
no she is not.
none of her albums have inspired R&B artists like the miseducation of lauryn hill. Aaliyah and Janet have inspired R&B/urban female artists more than Bey ever will.
A lot of Bey fans mistake admiration for influence. None of these urban new artists have songs that could say sound like Bey's or style that is similar to hers. So no bey is NOT a blueprint for R&B artists.
If you have to make these "Is Beyonce..." threads, the answer is pretty clear.
And nope, she's nowhere near being a blueprint for R&B, cause she lacks impact and good music.
Beyonce lacks impact? What hole do you live in?
The second part is subjective.
Her success is. No one smart enough will try to emulate HER anymore. There is only one Beyoncé, everyone has learned. Those who try to hard and lose their own identity, get lost in the wind. It's easier to go for Aaliyah, Rihanna, Ciara, or Brandy style and possibly hit for new girls. Beyoncé, and Alicia Keys for example, have carved their own niches in the R&B world. You won't find many able to mimic them and succeed.
Far from it. She is just currently, one of the most visible brands/faces of R&B music; her music itself isn't innovative nor is it a blueprint for anything. I'd say verging on overration.

It's also very true that all of the Beyoncé like girls have failed careers now, like Ashanti, Amerie & Keri Hilson. There's really no way people would find interest in a woman like that when Beyoncé does it so much better. The younger girl groups and artists over seas can get away with it though. In South Korea and the UK Beyoncé is very much a blueprint.
