The difference with when Capital FM & Radio 1 solely support a song is that with Capital FM, it's usually most of the pop stations on Global Radio (not just Capital) that push the song. With Radio 1, it's only that station. Good 'ol radio 1 saving the nation. ( )

Well, with Global, they also own Heart FM, which is like a HAC station, and Choice FM, which is like a rhythmic/urban station.
They do play different songs. Like on Choice FM you can hear Miguel, DJ Khaled, 50 Cent, etc. On Capital you hear stuff like Nicki Minaj, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, etc. And on Heart you can hear stuff like Christina Perri, Jason Mraz, Charelene Soraia, etc.
For example, The Wanted are owned by Global, but they don't play them on Choice FM, even though it's owned by Global, because The Wanted don't do the type of music that the station plays. But The Wanted do get a lot of airplay on Heart FM and Capital FM, because their music fits in with what they play.
