Am I the only one who doesn't feel the power of Beyonce anymore? Idk why, but it seems like everything I've heard from her is either bland or doesn't pack the punch like her music used to. "Grown Woman" is ok, but it's so monotonous and boring that I dismissed it by a 2nd listen. "Standing on the Sun" is better, but it still doesn't pack the punch like a usual Bey song. Even that annoying song "Rise Up" from the Epic commercials doesn't do anything for me.
I don't even care if she releases an album or not at this point I never thought I would feel this way about an artist like Beyonce.

BET is always nominating Bruno Mars for Best R&B artist The only time he performed on the show was when he did the Alicia Keys performance. I don't know why they think he will show up all of a sudden
The Beyonce nom fiasco is getting old now. Give someone else a chance A BET Award may not be much, but for some, it's the only award they may ever get. There's no need to keep begging the Knowles-Carter family to attend by nominating them for doing nothing.

Its hilarious + sad to think that Rihanna's the only black female artist who's had a #1 hit for the past half a DECADE.

BET Awards are very entertaining. I usually watch for the performance + reunion moments. They do a good job of introducing older acts to the new generation. They might know the songs from BBQs/their parent's favorite song, but it's nice that they connect a face to the song.
WHY is Charlie Wilson getting the Lifetime Achievement award. It seems like he has already received many tributes on the black awards shows How about someone like Natalie Cole, Smokey Robinson, Bebe & Cece Winans, or Janet.
Just like Will.i.am, Bruno Mars is very talented but they put out the most basic generic songs. They are pretty much just a hit factory, nothing more, nothing less.

I disagree bruno mars music isn't generic but some of his songs from his first cd suck. I'm feeling Unorthodox Jukebox
Bruno's sophomore album is miles better than his debut. He didn't recycle and blatantly copy melodies from his music like he did on his debut. It's like every ballad and mid-tempo on Doo Wops had the same melody and vocal approach
This album is much more eclectic and balanced. He also does a better job at referencing soul or 80s R&B music than others (JT)
