He's talking about the government getting in bed with major corporations and THAT creating new slavery. The race stuff is being used as an analogy, not as the central element of his "activism." Yes there are parts of his songs that are still about modern racism, but its not the primary focus.

And at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter if his politics are right or not because he's not a politician. He's an artist, and a pop/shock artist at that. Did he make an interesting statement and present it in a unique way? I say yes. Kanye projecting his face like Big Brother all over the world and shouting about going Bobby Broucher and the prison-industrial complex is easily one of the most epic things an artist has done in years.

It was released in October of 2008, but did not top the chart until December, remaining at the top through January 2009. Then Tik Tok came around.

Am I the only one who doesn't feel the power of Beyonce anymore? Idk why, but it seems like everything I've heard from her is either bland or doesn't pack the punch like her music used to. "Grown Woman" is ok, but it's so monotonous and boring that I dismissed it by a 2nd listen. "Standing on the Sun" is better, but it still doesn't pack the punch like a usual Bey song. Even that annoying song "Rise Up" from the Epic commercials doesn't do anything for me.

I don't even care if she releases an album or not at this point I never thought I would feel this way about an artist like Beyonce.

I agree completely. I think we need visuals. Becuase life was given when I watched her live performance of white woman. But I don't think we can enjoy her songs as much because she keeps paying us men dust
