As a gay man myself, I find your comment to be the only thing disrespectful here. There is nothing wrong with assuming someone might be gay. That implies theres something wrong with being gay in the first place - which there isn't. I've always thought he might have been gay. Gay men who live straight lives are almost always depressed. That's not to say it was definitely the cause of his depression. I've always thought he was gay because of the way he acts and talks, and as a man who grew up during a time when homosexuality wasn't ok, and a man who lived through the AIDS crisis, he might not have wanted to have lived a gay life. That is, if he was even gay in the first place. Which, there's nothing wrong with asking if anyone else thought he might have been.
Do you have any idea how many men of Robin Williams' generation (baby boomers) are gay but committed to straight lives?
How dare you insinuate that it's disrespectful to simply ask if others think someone might be/might have been gay. That's what's disrespectful here. There's nothing wrong with being gay.

Do you really have no concept of time and place? Would you show up to someone's funeral and openly speculate about the deceased's sex life just because? I seriously can't tell if you're trolling or just seriously lacking in common sense, but go take that **** elsewhere. This is a thread for mourning his death, not for discussing his sexuality.
