I gave Bionic a listen and it's actually underrated.
TS4 is their Britney Jean, all promises of it being their best game yet but only gave us a Mayah Marie sized mess.

They fooled people into thinking TS4 was going to be "next-level" but all they have done is remove sliders for Playdough, and make our Sims become Amanda Bynes emotional wrecks.. I don't care how my Sims walk how about some real new features ?
Watch they add
Sims 4: Get Cookin' : Your Sims can now enjoy some BBQ ribs , and use stoves with a oven inside.
Cost: $70.00

The whole "clothes available for every outfit" thing is so boring to me because it's already like that in my game due to one of Nraas' mods.
Also, other than the elder having gray hair, I literally do not see ONE difference between the Teen, Young Adult, Adult and Elder.

The more time I spend looking through this thread, the less excited I get for The Sims 4

Will Wright should be appalled at what they are doing to The Sims right now. The most iconic moments in The Sims were putting that annoying ass sim in the pool and deleting the ladder dating all the way back to Sims 1 base game. And now they claim they can't have it done? Why the **** not? They can just use the pools from The Sims 3 seeing as there aren't any new graphics to speak of and there is less stuff for the game to load in this Sims 2 downgraded game. Boycott this mess until they fix this or sell the franchise off tbqfh.

So I just installed Sims 1 and all expansions. Never played it before and about to go on it, I'm super excited.
Any tips?

I never actually spend time wondering what it is best to buy when a new Sims comes out.
With The Sims 3 I got stuck at one point because the new versions wouldn't download if I didn't install Origins to go with them (and I didn't want to pay for that program). I re-installed The Sims and played with the basic game (yeah I know, boring )
This time I wanna know what it is best to do (considering I'll probably some expansion packs and download stuff on different websites in the future):
1. Order the game online with Origins in it.
2. Buy the physical copy like I always did. (But I don't want to be stuck with the same Origins problem...)

So if an elder doesn't have grey hair, they look identical to teens and adults? This all keeps gettin better, doesn't it.

Your needs go down much much faster than the new ones so be ready! Everything is so iconic The starter homes all slay.

Go with option 2. You don't pay for Origin, it's a free program.

Why do you use Origin?
Buy the physical and never ever download Origin, download the updates somewhere else.

Really? I remember looking at the official Sims website and it was 50+$? Or maybe it was with the game
Do we know though if not having Origin will cause problems like it did with Sims 3? I don't want to be stuck not being able to update the original version.

No! I don't have Origin. That's my point actually. Whenever I try to update the game it gets stuck because I don't have Origin.

Weird, I mean, I torment my games and don't click the "Install the last version of Origin", then patch them and they're ready to go.

Origin is the iTunes of games. It's like a library. You can purchase games online and it will be added there or you can buy a physical copy and use your serial to redeem the game. (Just like purchasing from iTunes store or ripping from a CD) The price you saw was the digital game.
There's no way you can get stuck. You can either:
Purchase the physical game, redeem it on Origin and update your game.
(When you put your game on Origin, it's like a backup and if you ever lose your CD, you can download your legal copy from there with no problems.)
Or:
Download the updates manually and skip Origin completely.

First half an hour on this game, my lord it's already perfection. I forgot what it's like to play a Sims game that's smoothly running. It's oozing with charm from the way they talk and interact (take note EA/Maxis, sims in The Sims 1 had full of emotion even as blocky pixels) to the amazing music.
I'm going to spend endless days on this I can tell. It's such a step back from my complex stories, legacies and big towns of Sims 2, which is why I never bothered checking it out before, but I regret it because for such a simple life simulator it's full of fun.
I shat myself when that creepy ass music came on at 7pm though.. I don't even know why it did, but it's 2am irl here and I'm too scared to go downstairs after hearing it

Is that easy to do and is it lag-proof (does that even make sense)
As you can probably see, I never downloaded anything other than the games so idk.

Me. I Am a Sims 4 Guru... The Elusive Gameplay Footage
Hi, guys! My name is Graham Nardone. You probably follow me on Twitter (@SimGuruGraham). This is my sim self, which I created down to the very last lumpy detail in TS4's brand new Create-a-Sim!
I'd like to take this opportunity to address some of your questions and concerns regarding The Sims 4.
I'm not a tech guy, but after consulting with our experienced programmers, I learned that it's actually pretty uncommon for a game that's designed to work on ten year-old computers to be built in 64 bit. We hear your concern, and hope that you will appreciate The Sims 4's many new features, including our brand new, ultra-sophisticated, Create-a-Sim.
There's nothing which prevents the addition of pools and toddlers at a later date. Throughout development, it has been our mission to perfect the many exciting new features of The Sims 4, like our brand new, ultra-sophisticated, Create-a-Sim.
The short loading screens your sims will encounter as they venture out of their homes are meant to optimize game performance and user experience. In The Sims 4, exploring the beautiful new world that launches with base game, Willow Creek, is more fun than ever with the inclusion of 7 distinctive and exciting walk styles, which can be found in our brand new, ultra-sophisticated, Create-a-Sim.

The ACCURACY I feel like I'm going to tear my hair out if they release another ad/promo for that damn CAS.

Just get the CDs and when it asks you to install Origin tell it to shut up and skip it.
You can get the patches (well, you're better off downloading the last Superpatcher) here: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?...ad/Archived/BG
Install the Base Game, apply that Superpatch and then proceed to install any EP & SP you want to use, just remember to do it in release date order and at the end you'll have to re-apply the superpatch again to have all the additional EP/SP files patched as well.
