Yeah, I don't mean to say she ripped off Marilyn and completely ignored to mention the influence. She does manipulate her art, so the final outcome has her own stamp, but I don't think Gaga doesn't do this. There were questionable choices made by Gaga, but I don't see her as wanting to be Madonna in the sense that she wants take her art. She more so wants to be at the top long enough to have impact and legacy. From what I've seen her put out, I think Gaga does usually add her own self to her work.

And I think you know very well yourself that gaga is no saint either. if only she and her team were more fair, instead of throwing ageist insults at Madonna, lying about emails, and thanking whitney instead of madonna on the biggest music show of the year (the ultimate stab back) things would have been a lot calmer.

She does get called out. I'd even go as far as to say she gets more backlash over her art originality than Madonna did in her early days, because social media puts you under a microscope.

Did Madonna's team confirm or deny the emails? I honestly do not know. I never cared to follow the whole EY/BTW fiasco. Let's be fair here: Madonna's no saint either. Singing parts of BTW on tour every night? Neither side is right in my opinion, and I just choose to look past all of that.

i also think gaga is the best thing that happened to madonna.

I think if there was an internet during the 80s Madonna would be facing a lot more lawsuits then she does now

in the 80's there were tons of madonna wannabes to enter the music scene.
