My main point is that it's a little ridiculous to continue hating on people Madonna has had problems with. Entertainers are not immune to faults, so I will never put her up on an untouchable pedestal. That doesn't mean I'm not a fan. I've criticized Gaga in the recent past too. I'm allowed to like both without being subject to labels by obsessive fans on either side.

Yes she has taken from Marilyn, but Marilyn herself has taken from Mae west and other movie stars as well. (which could be seen as way worse as they're in the same creative field)
no one is calling gaga a Quentin T copycat for inspiring her video to one of his movies, correct?
I hope you see what I'm getting at.
And I think you know very well yourself that gaga is no saint either. if only she and her team were more fair, instead of throwing ageist insults at Madonna, lying about emails, and thanking whitney instead of madonna on the biggest music show of the year (the ultimate stab back) things would have been a lot calmer.
