I'm not dragging Kelly at all. I'm just saying what I want from Kelly in her next release. If people get offended that's not my fault. And saying Kelly is perfect, and worshiping her every single move, saying she's iconic, saying she is right when you believe she is wrong doesn't make you a "stan". If that is what the word "stan" implies then I don't want to be one. I love Kelly for her music and personality, that's all. Nothing more and nothing less. I'm also a consumer and Kelly her albums are products, heck Kelly herself is a product. It's my right to complain about the products I've bought and consumed.
I hate it when people start pulling the "you call yourself a stan" card when you say "negative" things about them. And I've said this a million times, there's nothing any of you can do to make me stop saying what I want to say. If Kelly does something I dislike, I will say it, If kelly her music is good, I will say it's good, if it's full of crap, I will say it's full of crap. I'm not here for being a delusional robotic fan. Sorry.

Judging from Kelly's demos, she obviously does experiment and take risks. I think the label wants her in a certain musical box though and Kelly doesn't bother to fight it anymore. I don't blame her at all tbh.

And some delusional stan thinking Kelly isn't basic. Kelly is currently the image of simplicity. Since the My December era, Kelly has been nothing but basic.

The only thing I find disappointing about Kelly is that she hasn't really written anything amazing since Because of You / Already Gone & I don't feel like she pushes herself enough.
She has one of the voicest of this generation and her covers are ****ing flawless. I wish this translated to her album material.
Example CMB is so far from being lead single material for a Greatest Hits record that celebrates ten years. It has flopped everywhere and it's just disappointing, because she does have the name and potential to be a whole lot more powerful in the industry.
what's the main problem? She doesn't care. She really doesn't give a **** about fame and that much has been obvious in the last two years.

Solid point, but then again her hits will be remembered not her album tracks. So maybe I should rephrase and say that Kelly her singles/hits are basic.

But then her most generic / basic singles have been her most successful

I'm not saying you need to be a robotic fan, but you've expressed pretty strongly your dislike for Kelly's recent product offerings. I'm just curious as to why you even bother anymore with Kelly then if you're so underwhelmed by her.
I'm speaking also from a consumer. If I start not to like a brand's products, I stop buying them and move on. But you seem to linger for whatever reason. I just find it strange. It's like if I start to not like a brand's clothing, for example, I just stop wearing them. But you keep wearing them and then complain about how ugly and unoriginal they are to other people who still enjoy wearing the brand.
Again, I'm just confused. I don't expect you to change your opinion. It's just odd, IMO.

You can't really compare clothes with music. Kelly her voice is for me the best voice in the entire industry, and I never said I hated her recent effort. I just think she can do sooo much better and I want her to step up her game. There are a few select songs on Stronger I really loved, others I had mix feelings over, and others I disliked. Why would I stop supporting Kelly if she released ONE album I didn't truly loved? That would be odd, if I stopped loving Kelly because she released one album I didn't really like...
ETA: Why would I stop supporting Kelly just because of ONE album? That doesn't make any sense to me.

Well I'll speak for myself. The main reason I am a stan is because of Kelly's personality & her voice. She's just an icon for me and her voice is just beautiful. My December is my favourite album of all time.
Her album material hasn't been that strong since then; but does that change anything? no it just means I'm even more hopeful for her next album.

I see what you're saying. I got the impression that you haven't liked most of her recent stuff, but if it's just one album then I see your point.
I think it was your comment that Kelly has been basic since MD that really made me wonder why you still stan her. To me, that statement didn't sound like just a critique about a piece or pieces of work from Kelly, but a statement about her as a whole.

Don't be a dick, Ryan. I called Kelly her music basic and wanted her to step up her game. How is that dragging? Did you hear me call Kelly local? Or being a fat dike? No. That's dragging. And don't act like "generic" music and working with A-listers is a bad thing, especially when you are a Britney fan as well, who I casually love.

The funny thing is you've done that exact thing to me numerous times and then you seem to flip flop in your opinions 24 / 7

Maybe I should have worded myself better, but I just want something "new" for Kelly. Even if her next album is full of pop/rock, I will continue to support her cause I'm sure there will be a few songs on there I will love. PERSONALLY for me I want a sound that isn't similar to her previous records. That's all.

That's because you put the most horrible pictures of Kelly in your avatar and sound like you are trolling her most of the times. That's why I pulled that card one time....

Considering she's put virtually every genre into her last few albums this could be difficult.
She just needs a love album; screw this Christmas crap. She's never been a wanted artist around Xmas and I'm not in the mood for 300K selling albums
