Janet can whisper for 2 hours and be critically acclaimed, whoopty doo!! But Janet ain't EVER giving you a vocal like the Star Spangled Banner that Whitney made a million dollar seller and a Top 10 hit. Janet doesn't have anything close to the impact of the Whitney album. Hell I'm not even touching the Bodyguard or Whitney's 2 Emmy Awards or Whitney performing at every Grammy Awards during her first 4 years of being in the game or Exhale debuting at #1. When is Janet gonna ****ing do it? Thats real acclaim that studio tricks and ******** can't give you. Now get mad over that!!

What I'm SAYING is that all of that looks ridiculous on a list of accomplishments.
Control had a bigger musical impact than anything Whitney has put out. It made an entire genre mainstream and WHITNEY tried to get a piece herself--not to mention Michael, doing it five years late. And Rhythm Nation did it again in a different way. Nobody was doing social awareness in pop music when Janet did. Whitney has never been an artist of Janet's caliber. Talk about vocals all day but that doesn't mean anything to me. I recognize Whitney's stunning vocals and I respect them. It's time for you to do the same for me. Allow me, and Janet, the respect.
How about the fact that Janet has two of RS's 500 greatest albums of all time with RN and Velvet Rope? Or the fact that Control and janet. are considered two of the "200 definitive albums of all-time" by the R&R Hall of Fame? Whitney has one there, and it's higher than the Janet albums, but it's still just one. Yeah--ONE memorable studio album. Janet has four albums that are still compared to the pop and R&B albums of today. She may not be remembered by the public, but she is still the yardstick.
