Ya that's a good point. SL does have a very Get Me Bodied vibe, and that didn't really do well on the charts so to automatically go to that sound is a risk. Plus the video was hugely risky.

I don't think it's necessary to keep sparking this conversation. I admit it's interesting and I get involved because I don't like reading such delusion, but do we really care about what success or failure Rihanna has? Does it make Beyoncé any more or less amazing? She's one of a kind, and she's only getting bigger..

Seriously though, I've never ever heard of a party being made surrounding just 1 artist, but since ST came out I've heard of at least 5 for Beyoncé, and I'm not talking about some stan's house party, I'm talking about official parties at clubs and/or bars. Have you guys noticed this too? There's even one this weekend.

I'd say it's Ring the Alarm. The sheer madness and unpleasantness of the song wins it for me. Run the World is a close second since it's a lead and it has no melody really, but as she was even less established in 2006, I think this get it. It's also the most risky by any pop girl I think.

For me I would have to say RTW, given the time in which it was released. Especially considering it was the lead single to follow up the IASF era. I think more people expected Bey to continue dabbling with the more traditional pop sound but sis went wayyyyyyyyyyyyy left field. It was a honest gamble and it was also very misleading considering it doesn't really fit the tone of 4 at all.
