I know it's differet kind of music..and don't get me wrong it is great feeling song..but It's a bit annoying that this girl released this acoustic song and getting the acclaim from the industry and atrl and stuff ..when kang did it with 4 and everyone called it a flop and critisised her when 1+1 and the rest of 4 is far more superior and artistic but whatever..bey always going in befor the other ones..
And after this "surprise release" of the single it's just make me appriciate self titled more..it really is such a masterpiece so so proude of her..
What do you think is Beyoncé's riskiest single and why?
I'd say it's Ring the Alarm. The sheer madness and unpleasantness of the song wins it for me. Run the World is a close second since it's a lead and it has no melody really, but as she was even less established in 2006, I think this get it. It's also the most risky by any pop girl I think.

So many tbh. Im gonna sound a fool for saying this but I think even SL was super risky
Releasing RTW as a lead single with it's message especially in 2011 seems like it'd hinder radio airplay (it's much more in your face than Independent Women) (although Billboards changed formula back then really hurt because she attracted so much radio play). Ring the Alarm was risky as it was off the heels of the semi-underperformance of Deja Vu (going #4 instead of #1).

I kinda see this, it was dance influenced but it was much more R&B influenced, along the lines of Get Me Bodied compared to the other dance songs that were smashing like Just Dance, Poker Face, and Womanizer.
