Does Eddie Redmayne have any type of significant American fanbase? The only movies I know he's in are Les Misérables and My Week With Marilyn, and he wasn't the lead or the main draw to the movie in either (Les Mis was Hugh and Anne and MWWM was Michelle Williams). He has yet to blow up in the US.

Whereas Benedict Cumberbatch does have a fanbase and I know Americans who absolutely love him from Doctor Who, Sherlock Holmes, Star Trek Into Darkness. Everyone knows who Keira Knightley is too, obviously.
