It's weird growing up right when Digital started.

My first music I ever bought myself was when I got an iPod for Christmas, and a $25 iTunes Gift Card. Literally, I didn't know what albums really were until like 2011 because of the fact the music industry is so adjusted to Digital singles.

Digital downloading didn't really take off until 2006 or right around there, and by that time I was 14 and just starting high school. So in middle school I would use CD players and in elementary school I would even use cassettes sometimes. It was so inconvenient. But not only that, before I had a CD player, if I wanted to listen to a song, I would sit in front of the TV and wait all damn day for the music video to come on I can't believe that I had the patience for that.

Ipods have gone the way of the Dodo now in some ways.

During my time student teaching in a high school I am not sure I saw one regular ipod. The students just used their phones.

Omg.

The only memories of music I have before around Digital:

- My Uncle & Aunt got me the HSM Soundtrack in 2006. (First album I got)
- My older cousins always watched Music Channels when I went over to their house.
- My grandma got me a CD player when I was like 5 for some reason, and I broke it like a few months later.

Even by like 2005, all I remember about music devices was my cousin having an iPod Shuffle and I wanted one so bad.

Early 2000's was the best music period.

I wish I remembered more than like 10 hits.

I didn't get an ipod until I was like 16 and in 11th grade. No freaking lie. I remember I would bring my CD player to school and all my 30+ CDs

I would watch TRL but let's get real, they would show 20 seconds of the music video and that was it so that was useless for wanting to listen to music. Then I discovered Fuse and I would watch that all the time for my music needs. Youtube wasn't created until like 2005 so I literally had no other choice for wanting to watch music videos. That's so crazy to think about now.
