Unarguably, the biggest guilty pleasure of the year. After the soulful "Pills N Potions", Nicki released a total opposite. Despite its nonsensical lyrics, "Anaconda" is one track you can't resist for its catchy verses and infectious hooks. Ultimately not the best Nicki track, but will remain as a signature hit.

2014 was a whirlwind year for Lea Michele. Nevertheless, I still believe she delivered one of the great pop hits of 2014 through "On My Way". "Cannonball" was promising, but this one was beyond amazing. Aside from the insanely catchy lyrics, the vocals were stunningly amazing. Well done!

It's been a while since we last saw Sam Smith but here comes his second entry. "Leave Your Lover" was an instant favorite. It just sounded so sincere, heartfelt and emotional. I love its simplicity - piano, vocals and soul. Definitely, one of the saddest songs released in 2014. I'm actually happy that this wasn't overplayed.

On to Sam's third entry. "Money On My Mind" showcased a different side of Sam, more pop less soul. I actually didn't pay attention to the track when it was released cause it wasn't really my thing. However, I came across the track on a juice bar once and I instantly got hooked into it. Culprit of Sam appreciation.

Missing the Top 50 by just a spot is Katy Perry. Since her debut, I must say 2014 been her worst year on countdown performance. It was always easy for Katy to snatch a Top 30 hit on my yearend list, but she was struggling so hard last year. "Dark Horse" was a grower. Probably not the type of Katy I'd dig for.

Best Electronic Act Ever
Shocker? I am not a big fan of Icona Pop last 2013, not until "All Night" was released. It was amazing, infectious and repetitive. They also showcased a different side of their music through "Just Another NIght". This Swedish duo is definitely an act to watch for.

Kicking off the Top 50 is British electronic producer Calvin Harris. I admit I wasn't a big fan of "Summer" when it was released, but it definitely grew and became one of my favorite electronic hits of 2014. The amazing electronic sound and outstanding production made this track a summer standout.

Neon Jungle holds the record for the highest girl group single this 2014. Like "Summer", "Braveheart" was also a grower for me. I only got hooked to the track when it was covered by another girl group. The catchy hooks, feisty vocals and impressive production blended perfectly.

Sitting pretty at #48 is one of the most overplayed yet overrated tracks of 2014. "Rude" was a great debut single. The reggae fusion was undeniably interesting. I also love how MAGIC! delivered the song with such raw emotions. However, it's frustrating to see how this track got overplayed everywhere.

There was no denying how underwhelming "#Beautiful" was. As a Mariah fan, it pains me to see how she has been struggling to get a decent hit nowadays. For me, "You're Mine (Eternal)" is an excellent single. The vocals, harmony and emotions were all there. Too bad it was just moderate.

I am not a big fan of Mr. Timberlake. I actually think the 20/20 Experience, Part 1 era last 2013 was overrated. This time, JT released a heartwarming lovely R&B hit through "Not A Bad Thing". Surprisingly, it turned out really well. Such good lyrics and sincere delivery.
